Luna Viva founder Janiva Cifuentes-Hiss is called to inspire a more harmonious relationship with All that is. An international speaker and experiential learning activist, she lives her purpose by facilitating transformational experiences throughout the planet. Over the past 18 years, Janiva has led life-changing journeys integrating meditation, movement practices, and intentional travel in Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Panamá, Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, Ecuador, Perú, Argentina, India, Kenya, Tanzania, and Spain. For more than a decade she has held women’s circles and gender-inclusive workshops spiraling around themes including moon magic, menstruation, sacred feminine, and divine purpose.
Inspired by radical unlearning at Shikshantar: the People’s Institute for Rethinking Education and Development in Udaipur India, Janiva co-founded HeartSong Community of Free Learners, a project-based alternative school in Heredia and Kidtopia International Camp. She serves young people by facilitating sex ed media literacy workshops and first moon (menarche) ceremonies.
Janiva is on a lifelong learning journey exploring grassroots solutions to global crises. She completed her Permaculture Design Certificate at Punta Mona Center for Regenerative Design & Botanical Studies in Costa Rica and trained in Tantric Therapies with Espiritu Libre in Medellín, Colombia. She has presented at events including The Goddess Experience, Shanti Festival, Envision Festival, The Acrotantra Gathering, and more. She looks forward to co-creating something magical with you!
